CANCUN, yes. It is a huge city with more than 1 million inhabitants, as I was told. I have been there twice, but if in future I could avoid this, I would. Cancun, that's a 30 kms long Zona Hotelera too, along the beach, with a lot of big hotel constructions. At the southern end of this zone is the Club Med Resort, which shows in contrast  to the rest of the zona hotelera a certain charme, because it has not the seemingly skyscraping typ of hotel towers.

The Club Med Resort has realy beautiful beaches and snorkeling grounds and I enjoyed my stay there. It seems people tend to not miss anything.

In particular I liked the flowers, birds e.g. pelicans and to my surprise, I saw a crocodile in the lagoon. The snorkeling was impressive too, there are so many colourful fish to be seen.

A look from my hotelroom on the lagoon at the Club Med (middle), a look at the Zona Hotelera (left) and from the Zona Hotelera in direction of the Club Med (right, at the end of the beach, very flat buildings).
