- Art - Jewelery - Design - Fotos by Peter Leister - Cobá, an ancient Maya town from about AD 1000, situated in the middle of the Yukatan jungle. Proof is given by the early meeting with an anteater (see foto below, middle), who crossed my way. Moths, some cms large, searched the light and protection from the heavy rain during the evening in the hotel court. Crocodile warnings, ibises, dense forests and unknown flowers and fruits.

And finally the pyramids, other historic buildings and ball play courts and stelae (most, although actually protected, washed out by rain, that it was difficult, to recognise some artistic structure on them. Above, on the right, the Nohoch Mul (Great Pyramid). Videos, taken from the top of the Nohoch Mul (Big Mound), the greatest pyramid on the site. You see perfectly the surrounding jungle.
TULUM, that is Tulum Puebla with cheeper hotels and restaurants, Internet and other shops, but without any direct contact to the marvelous Tulum beach with its Cabañas or to the Maya ruins from about AD 1200 - 1500, laying above the beach, a breath taking view.
