Coyoacan, the place of the coyotes, is about 10 km out of Mexico City Center. It was the base of Cortez after Tenochtitlans fall. It has maintained its colonial character. In Coyoacan was born the famous Mexican Painter Frida Kahlo. She lived and finally died in the 'Blue House', which now is the Museum Frida Kahlo.

Above (right and left) pictures from the coyotes fountain, situated on the Plaza Hidalgo with the Parroquia de San Juan Bautista.

Below some 'Frida Kahlo impressions' from in- and outside (left, street scenery) of the museo. Fotos were only permitted in the garden of the museum. The exposition contained mostley fotos and only some few paintings. I was disappointed. But there was a smile left, for my camera.
